Dear Fellow Qt developers,
KDAB is happy to announce the release of KD Chart 2.0.1 which contains
many bug fixes as well as a few new features and various other optimizations.

Version 2.0 of KD Chart supports and builds on the technologies introduced
with Trolltech's Qt 4, including the Interview and Arthur technologies.
KDAB's charting and diagramming engine has been redesigned and rewritten from
the ground up making optimal use of the new possibilities offered by Qt 4 to
deliver a native Qt 4 solution.
"It was our goal to develop a new version that would fit Qt 4 perfectly, not
just 'porting' the previous version," says Matthias Kalle Dalheimer, CEO of
KDAB.
KDAB completely rewrote KD Chart 2.0 since the Qt API changed substantially
from Qt 3 to Qt 4, and applications developed in Qt 3 requires porting to Qt
4. With the new API, we hope to have a stable base for years to come, and
provide an intuitive API similar to the Qt 4 API.

scientific and business charts and diagrams in their Qt-based applications."

Some of the major new features and advantages are:
- Full Interview support - plug any QAbstractTableModel into KD Chart
and have the data displayed. Charts automatically update on model changes and
can visualize model data that is also presented to the users in other views.
- Full Arthur support - make use of the fantastic new rendering
possibilities in Qt 4, like anti-aliasing, transparency, and sub-pixel
precision drawing.
- Separation of diagrams and coordinate planes, which allows very simple
addition of custom chart types and axis scales. Diagram developers can stay
within the coordinate system of their data, which will then be automatically
translated into the display coordinate system.
KD Chart 2.0 is delivered together with an extensive Programmer's Manual in
order to get users started with its new API, as well as a reference manual
(delivered both in html and pdf format). A multitude of sample programs make
it easy to get started.
