looking for experienced Senior/Junior GUI Software Engineers for its
offshore development center located in Bangalore India. A detail of
requirement is given below.

Location: Bangalore, India.
General Description:
Bandspeed is looking for a graphical user interface engineer to design and
implement a management console for its next generation Virtual Controller
product. The Bandspeed Virtual Controller is a collection or cluster of
802.11 wireless access points that can be administered and managed as a
unit. The Virtual Controller management console aggregates the management of
the cluster and the management of each individual AP in the cluster.
Responsibilities:
The Sr. GUI engineer will work with the Bandspeed architecture team in
Austin to complete the detailed architecture of the management console,
produce mid-level and detailed design documents, help scope the effort
required to complete the development work and lead the implementation of
that work. He/she will be required to lead by example and mentor more junior
team members, including reviewing their design documentation and coding
work.
Requirements:
. B.S. C.S., Math, Physics, or Engineering preferred or equivalent
work experience.
. 3 -10 years experience with C++ and Windows programming.
. Hands on experience in Cross-platform application development
using Qt (Preferably Qt 4).
. Visual Studio 6.0 or .NET experience (MFC/WTL).
. Experience in architecture and design of Complex, Multithreaded
GUI applications.
. Background must include complete implementation through release
of a commercial Network Management software product.
. Must be a self-starter and able to work productively with minimum
supervision.
. Must be an excellent problem solver with great troubleshooting
skills.
. Must have strong communication skills and be able to work closely
with team members in Austin, Texas USA as well as Bangalore, India.
Pluses:
. Platform independent software development in Qt is highly
required and the candidate should have worked on various OS that Qt
supports.
. Experience in Graphics algorithms / 2D - 3D graphics and network
application development is highly desirable.
. Cluster management product development experience.
. Remote device management console development experience.
. Interface design story-boarding.
Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate.
