Qt QuickStart Coming to Maryland, New York, Orlando

I’m pleased to announce that ICS and Trolltech are hosting a series of
free Qt QuickStart seminars in the US.
Qt QuickStart is a great opportunity to spend a half day with experts in
Qt from Trolltech and ICS, learn how to use Qt 4 to its full potential
and network with other Qt developers in your area.
Here are the dates and cities for March:
March 20 Silver Spring, MD
March 21 New York, NY
March 22 Orlando, FL
Each city will have two QuickStart sessions:
QuickStart Intro: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
QuickStart Advanced: 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm

This free seminar is an intensive introduction to Qt. If you are
considering using Qt in your next project, or just want to be at the
technological forefront, invest a half-day of your time. Register early
and enjoy a free continental breakfast.
The topics to be covered include:
* Intro to the Qt Framework
* Getting the message across: how to make use of signals and slots.
* Layout managers versus container widgets: what's the difference?
* Turbo coding new widgets: handling mouse, keyboard, and screen events.
* Advanced graphics using drawing primitives.
* Application control center: main windows, menus, toolbars and actions.
* A self-contained introduction to Qt containers.
QuickStart Advanced

The Qt QuickStart Advanced session focuses on Moving from Qt 3 to Qt 4.
This is an important topic since many developers have applications which
need to be migrated to the new Qt 4 API. This presentation will cover
the basic steps of migration, the provided porting tools, and areas of
potential difficulty. Some sample programs from Qt 3 will be used as
examples.

* New container classes and iterators
