New book on GUI programming with Python + Qt (PyQt4)

Message 1 in thread

A new book,
    "Rapid GUI Programming with Python and Qt:
    The Definitive Guide to PyQt Programming",
by Mark Summerfield, has just been published in the US.

PyQt is a set of bindings that make the C++/Qt libraries available to
Python programmers. PyQt is used to create many commercial and
noncommercial applications, varying in size from hundreds of lines to
100K lines and more. It is also used to create prototypes that are later
converted into C++/Qt applications.

The book is an ideal tutorial and reference for PyQt programming, and
covers PyQt4, using Python 2.5 and PyQt 4.2 or better, on Windows, Mac
OS X, and X11-based Unixes and Linux.

The book is published by Prentice Hall in hardback, 648 pages, ISBN
0132354187. The table of contents and the source code for the examples
and exercises is available from
http://www.qtrac.eu/pyqtbook.html
