I found a bug in the class path engine which would cause both this and 
other random failures to open files through the classpath: scheme when 
they reside on the disk (and not inside a .jar file.)

I believe it should work if you put your resources in a .jar file and 
add this to the class path. The bug will be fixed for Qt Jambi 4.4.0.
