[Qt-jambi-interest] Benefits of Jambi v C++

Hi All,

I am debating wether to use Jambi or just develop in C++/QT for the  
cross platform project I have coming up. If the C++ library works on  
all platforms, then what are the extra benefits of using Java? The  
main reason for considering Java/Jambi is that my new job I start in 3  
months requires me to code in Java, so the experience in converting  
our windows only app using Java and Jambi into  cross platform system  
would help me get into using the java Netbeans IDE and get used to the  
libraries and distribution methodologies.

Any plusses for Java/Jambi over the C++/QT? I'm hoping some Java buffs  
will help me decide :)
