no fonts shown in qt-embedded 3.3.7

Hi all,

I cross compiled qt-embedded 3.3.7 for arm. To get it compiled, i had to 
disable Q_PACKED in qlocal.h.
After this, all example apps were built.
When i run those apps on the arm target, no fonts are rendered. Instead 
of the actual letter a little square is shown.

I have copied $QTDIR/lib/fonts/ to the target, so i think its not a 
problem with missing fonts.

This is my environment:
arm-xscale-linux-gnu-g++ 4.0.2
linux kernel version 2.6.20.1
glibc 2.3.6

Any ideas?
