Feature Request: nullText() for QDateEdit

Message 1 in thread

How can I show nothing or a string such as "None" in a QDateEdit control if the value behind that
control is null? Or potentially I would like to show the date separators with spaces where the
user can then type in the date: " / / ".

I don't want the value of that control to bet set until the user actually sets it. It seems like
being able to _not_ have a value in a control is a desirable feature. Could the trolls include
this in a future revision?

Do the trolls have plans to add popup calendar functionality to QDateEdit? This is really the
easiest way for data entry in many cases. Has anyone done this themselves outside of the KDE
kdateedit, which I can't use cause my app is cross platform?
