I couldn't find a single C++ mailing list there... any pointers? Perhaps I
am just not looking in the right place.

The ACCU run several lists. Maybe one will suit your needs. Details can
be found at:

Sorry. In my hurry I just read "C++", and thought of
CodeGuru's forums. It's not a mailing list per se --
so sorry for wasting your time looking for it!

It is a great C++ resource nonetheless, though perhaps
not for beginners. (nothing implied)

Here's the forums:

http://www.codeguru.com/cgi-bin/bbs/wt/wwwthreads.pl

ICYW, I am not affiliated. Just a forum member.

OK, let me get my story straight:
The "sections" at codeguru to com (the articles,
tutorials, etc) may not deal with entry-level
issues. The forums may.
