QComboBox using a plain lineedit frame?

Does anyone have code showing how to use a QComboBox that has a plain, non sunken lineedit frame?
Is the best way to do this using paintEvent or with the use of styles? Could someone post code
showing how to do this?
I petition the Trolls to create some example showing how small alterations to existing widgets can
be performed using styles. The style examples that they include now are simply overkill for the
majority of users who most likely want to make minor alternations to the appearance of existing
widgets.
