QSqlCursor Problems

We are using Qt 3.0.1 on an Irix machine (6.5) and connecting to and Oracle
8.1.7 database using QOCI8. We are having problems with QSqlCursor not
working on tables that are not owned by the current login.
For example, in schema A we have a table called TABLEA. A owns that table.
In schema B we have a synonym called TABLEA.
When running the code logged into the DB as user A, it all works fine.
When running the code logged in as user B it will not work. Notrhing is
ever returned.
Has anyone had this problem. Does anyone know what can be done about it?
This would make life very easy if I could use this because QDataTable uses
a QSqlCursor and using QDataTable for many of my dialogs would be VERY VERY
nice.
