Qt 3.0 Non-Commercial Edition for MS Windows?

Message 1 in thread

Hi all,

I've searched around on the trolltech site but haven't been able to find
this specific piece of information: Is there a planned Qt 3.0 release of the
Non-Commercial edition for Win32 and if so, in what kind of time frame?

I'm not referring to the evaluation edition. The Non-Commercial version for
my development platform (WinXP) I downloaded not long ago is Qt 2.3. I want
to release my program under an open source license simultaneously for
Win32/X11 using features of Qt 3.0 but I'm unsure if there are plans for a
version 3.0 Non-Commercial edition.

Thanks,
Tony

There was a long discussion about this topic just days ago. Please check the
archives. There is no, nor will there be as far as we know now, a
Non-Commercial Qt 3 for Win32. There are possibilities for academic licences
however.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for the repost, I've only been on the list since Sept
24 so I must have only just missed it.

Just an advice, for all Qt newbies (like me, I'm just working with Qt since
august):
Always have a look on: http://lists.trolltech.com/qt-interest/
there you have a search system to look in the trolls' documentation but also
in the mailing list archive, which is sometimes really helpful.
