I can confirm the patch fixes the ASSERT.

PS: In the long run I'd be much happier if such problems could
be avoided by having release procedures that detect such
issues before your customers are hit by it.

I know that it is impossible to detect all errors by automated
tests, and I also know that programmers make mistakes. I do so
myself more often than I want to. 

But 'drawLine() fails' should show up pretty early in any test
of a GUI toolkit.
