Qwt and VS2003

Hi,
I'm evaluating Qt 4.1.4 with VS2003.
Has anybody succeeded in using Qwt with VS2003? I'm having some
issues. I also asked on the Qwt list but got no response.
I managed to compile the qwt examples, but when I run them I get the
following error message: "QTimer can only be used with a valid
thread". I'm stuck, can't find where this is coming from.
Is there perhaps another good library available which works under
VS2003? I'm looking for plotter/curve/thermometer/dial widgets,
basically to create a display for a measurement device.
