URGENT:how to set image in tableWidget's verticalheader

hi all
plz give me the solution for my problem

1--->i have one tablewidget
each table have vertical header and horizontal header
2--->in horizontal header (col 0) name is ImageType and in horizontal  
header (col 1) Extention
3--->Now verticalheaderitem(0) is one icon and row(0)col(0) i have  
"Nikon" (that is inserted by code) & checkbox and in row(0)col(1) its  
having "Png" (inserted by coding)


MyProblem is:

i want to increase the height and width of verticalheaderitem(0)  
which is an icon and icon height should be as same as cell height is  
like my cell height is 30 icon height should be same 30 and width  
should be half of the width of cell width

and my form name is imageselect an my function name is tableitems()
and i have toolbutton(in another mainwindow form) "openimageselect"  
in my toolbar
as i click this button the imageselect (dialog form) opened

First off: I tried to find the word "plz" in my dictionaries. I did not find 
it. It is definitely not English, nor does it seem to be a transliteration 
of Latin or Russian. I don't have any French or Chinese dictionaries, but I 
somehow doubt it would be in there - it does not fit the language. 

I did however find a similar word in my Egyptian dictionary (old Egyptian!), 
but I've got to tell you that the correct transliteration of "Peleset" is 
"plst" and I really don't understand what you mean with it in the context 
("Peleset" means "Philister" or "people of the sea").

Since no philisters are on this list it is very doubtful that you could get 
your solution from one of them. Even if there were philisters here they 
usually do not take kindly to what (in their language) sounds like a 
demand. Neither do we.

Your description is not usable. Period.

But from the little I understood I think it is solvable (I'm just looking at 
the documentation).

If you'd like to have your answer:

1) Cut the crap. Your problem is not urgent. Period. If it was, your company 
would pay Trolltech or one of those hundreds of consultants to solve it.

2) Spell correctly. Or I will continue to use my Egyptian dictionary on you 
instead of my English dictionary... ;-)
(This idea is starting to sound funny!)

3) Tell us what you have tried so far. As far as we can see you did not make 
any effort to solve your problem yourself, so you did not earn our time to 
solve it for you. (I can't believe I'm taking the time to write this down!)

4) Post some minimal compilable code that shows your problem.

First, using words like urgent, are a flame attractor.  And frankly,
comes off as quite immature, especially, when you don't explain any
reason why its urgent.

Second. You didn't clearly state what your specific problem is.  Maybe
you did and I missed it in your description, but I found your problem
assessment extremely diffucult to read, let alone understand.  You
listed a complete project definition, and not where you are stuck.

 

I have been on this list for 4 years or so, and try to help whenever I
can.   But when the request comes off like yours, I just wish for a
moderated list.

I just read it again... And Im still NOT sure where you are stuck!

 

Yes, I understand, you are trying to make the header the same size as
your icons.  But what have you tried so far?  Whats not working, is the
icon clipped, is the header too big? Too small?

 

So... Explain what you have done.  What you have working, what is NOT
working.  Not what the project specification is.

Since your not picking up on my subtle hints, of adding qt-interest to
my email response, Ill make it clear, STOP DIRECTLY EMAILING ME

 

Why not do the following:

 

Create a new icon that is a resize of the original, with the scaling
kept in tact... where the height is the height of the vertical header

 

Or set iconSize to the icon size you want.

i working in QT4.2 on Mac on some project

in that project i have dialog form 

in that dialog i have a table widget

in that table widget vertical header having item that item is icon

after setting icon i want to set icons height ==vertical header cell
height

and width of icon should be half of vertical header cell  width

 

to set icon i am using

 

tableWidget->verticalHeaderItem(0)->setIcon(QIcon(":/images/nikon.png"))
;

tableWidget->verticalHeaderItem(0)->setSizeHint(QSize(70,tableWidget-
>verticalHeaderItem(0)->sizeHint().height()+40));
