Having trouble unsubscribing

Message 1 in thread

Sorry to spam the list with this, but I have been having trouble
unsubscribing. I realize I am supposed to send an email to
qt-interest-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the subject unsubscribe, and I
have done so several times over the last three days, also trying
combinations such as putting it in the body, which should work, as
well as writing it within speech marks like "unsubscribe" (which I
don't think should work), but nothing works. I don't get a bounce back
or anything. I am 99% sure I am sending from the correct address,
theres a 1% chance I did use some other address and set up forwarding
to this one some time ago, but I don't think so, as I can send to
qt-interest ok from this one, and checking the headers doesn't suggest
anything like that.

I have noticed in the archives other people having the same problems.
Are the subscriptions handled manually or something, and the dude
still on holidays? Any other ideas?

Sorry about that, it's a fairly high volume list and filling up my
box, and I am not currently involved with any Qt projects, but will
probably sign up again later.

Message 2 in thread

Hi all,

I also have the same problem. I would like to unsubscribe temporally.

I tried to send "unsubscribe" either in the body or subject addressed to
qt-interest-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx .
It didn't work.

For me neither, didn't get any "reply to confirm"-email in the last 15
minutes. Seems like the mailing list server did party too much over New
Year... ;)

Cheers, Oliver

I guess this may be due to the fact that the sending address does not
correspond with the subscribed adress.

Have a look at :
http://lists.trolltech.com/qt-interest/2005-08/thread00574-0.html

BTW...
You may find it much more confortable to use a news reader instead of my
mail box, especially if you do not use the list often.

Try KNode on KDE and follow the instructions there :
http://lists.trolltech.com/qt-interest/

Hope it helps,
Nicolas
