QTabWidget navigation

Hi,
It's very common that the client of a tab widget would have the need to
navigate between tabs, using a popup that shows a list of open tabs,
sorted by their visit order (very much like the window manager ALT-Tab
shortcut).
One can see this behaviour in popular IDEs like Eclipse, Netbeans and
JDeveloper. Opera the browser also offers this feature.
I've just made a patch for KDevelop regarding this but I was thinking
that for KDE 4 it would be nicer if it could be done at the tab widget
level, so all applications could benefit from this feature.
What do you think?
I could try to write a patch if you think it's useful.
