Qt 4.3.0: Congratulations to the Trolls!
Message 1 in thread
Hi,
I think once in a while a Thank You for the Trolls on this list is a
good thing! I guess every programmer very much appreciates a "Good work
done!" on top of all these little "Uhh ahhhh... we have a problem in the
tiny corner of Foo!" - at least I do ;)
I've just installed the latest 4.3.0 on Windows and indeed, the
painting/OpenGL performance has noticeably increased in the demo
applications!
Good work, Trolls (of course to all those Trolls as well who did their
work in the "invisible parts" of Qt ;)!
Cheers, Oliver

Thank you very much, Oliver,
This feedback - along with the all the "little" bug reports that help us lift
Qt's quality - is highly appreciated!
4.3 is out and the sun is shining, at least here in Berlin - if that's not a
coincidence.
Happy hacking, everybody!

This isn't a bad idea. There are some great things in 4.3, and I
noticed when I built our app on XP things just looked a lot better.
Here I thought XP was just kinda ugly compared to OSX. Unfortunately,
in the quest to improving the look and feel on OSX somethings were
broken (like placing widgets in layouts with 0 margins), but I'm
hopeful that will be fixed soon enough. :-)
