entering basic geometric shapes with the mouse

Hello,
Is there any existing code for entering basic objects like line segments,
circles, rectangles, polygons, etc with the help of the mouse?
It shouldn't be too application specific, so it would almost be natural
that the Qt framework offered it out of the box.

You might be able to find examples of this on the net, but there is nothing in
Qt that does this.
