QScrollArea left and right buttons with -reverse

Hi Everybody,
I have a QScrollArea with a custom child widget to display musical notation.
When I run the application with -reverse, the left and right arrow keys move the horizontal scroll bar in the opposite direction.
This behaviour is probably OK if the QScrollArea contains text, but is not appropriate when it displays graphics.
How can I force just this one horizontal scroll bar to ignore the reverse setting? I think I have to change a style setting?
