qt4 menus/tooltips mess

hi all,

I'm observing really strange GUI behavior with one Qt4 app.
The menu is not expanding to fit required content, tooltips are cut,
lineedits and lists are using insane small fonts etc.:

I can see it in all styles.
All others Qt4 apps are behaving correctly.

Does anybody see it before?

sysinfo: Qt4.3.3, X11 GPL, KDE4 installed. That app is using Q3Support
module.

Did see it when using Compiz under Kubuntu. Tried the qtconfig app, to 
set fonts for Qt applications? Maybe the default font family/size is set 
to a different one you'd like to use.
