Qt on SunOS 4.1.4?

Message 1 in thread

Is anyone using Qt on SunOS 4.1.4? I know its old, but I have a
potential application to upgrade and I'd prefer to use Qt.

If yes, what version of Qt is that, and what kind of install/compile
issues did you face?

Thanks,

Hi

One question - why? Anything capable of running it is by now totally
obsolete - we're talking 200MHz and 512Mbytes of RAM at the best (SS10
or 20). The hardware is out of support. On e-bay, such systems seem to
have reached the value of residual junk i.e., any lower price and they
wouldn't be worth the seller's effort. Just the cost of the electricity
bill will very quickly surpass the value of such a machine.

That aside, you're going to struggle to get a good enough C++ compiler
(GCC is probably your only hope). Even then, you'll still have to fight
with things like libc and X11.

Good luck
Paul
