Qmovie doubts

i know that it is possible only to play .gif and mng files with Qmovie
class.but i want to playback and .avi file with the help of ffmpeg
decoders.
is it possible for anyone to use Qmovie class to playback .avi
file,things should be dont without the phonon. i am using fedora core 6.
if possible, how to use the ffmpeg decoders with Qmovie class.which
classes will be helpful.
