I've reported it several times, and the behavior is still in the latest
release, 4.4.0.

From his posts you can see he thinks reporting it to this list is the
proper place to report bugs. At least he never mentioned the task
tracker or Trolltech in any way.

_WHERE_ did you report it? This is not a Trolltech support forum, this
is a Qt interest mailing list where there happen to be Trolltech
employees reading. If you want something fixed you _must_ mail qt-bugs
(at) trolltech.com or use their online support form.
If you did, you would have a valid issue number by now which we all can track.
