designer in eclipse x86_64
Message 1 in thread
Hi,
Is there a 64bit version of the eclipse integration? I can only see a
32bit package at ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qtjambi/source.
Most of the .so files contained therein can be replaced with the 64bit
versions from the 64bit jambi package it would seem, but I cannot find
a 64bit version of the designer library libqtdesigner.so in
plugins/com.trolltech.qtdesigner.linux.x86_1.0.0/lib, so the designer
always fails to load.
Any suggestions for getting this to work in 64bit eclipse?

There is unfortunately not a 64 bit version of the Eclipse integration
available at the moment. We'll look into adding this for the next release.

Is it not possible to build for 64bit? Where is the source for this
libqtdesigner.so ? Or is it non-free? It is not the same as the
libQtDesigner.so in jambi itself.
When is the next release scheduled?

The Eclipse integration does not ship with source, so there's currently
no way for you to manually make a 64 bit version of libqtdesigner.so.

The first patch release has not been scheduled, but I do not expect it
to be further ahead than two or three months..
