Recommendation on text format for help

Hello!
We're just about to start writing a help system for our product which is
based on Qt Jambi and we know that Trolltech has it's fabulous
QAssistant framework. However, we would like to export the guides to
other formats as well like pdf and html.
Have anybody tried to combine doc-book editors like LyX and QAssistant
rendering of it's html export? Writing our stuff in doc-book format
would give us a lot of other oppertunities in how to render the material.
