QFileDialog introduced in Qt/X11 4.3 is fairly different from the previous file dialog. I think that new QFileDialog is still not better than old one. Would you support the old style as well as new style? Kenji Sugita Senior Manager, Software Research Associates, Inc. I would second this opinion. We've had zero complaints about the old QFileDialog, and the new one is much less intuitive. I've also noticed that if file names don't have suffixes, they don't even appear in it. But the larger issue is the question of why it needs a redesign. The old paradigm is established and well understood. I am able to make a directory "foo" and a file "bar" and they both appear in the dialog as expected. What OS are you seeing this under. Is it a hidden file? Do you see them when you run the dirview example? -Benjamin Meyer To unsubscribe - send "unsubscribe" in the subject to qt4-preview-feedback-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

The file dialog interface was changed yesterday, see the attached screenshot or in last nights snapshot. It now closely resembles the old familiar interface. The painting error on the buttom of the cancel button and the completer popup initial size being small are being looked into and should be resolved shortly. -Benjamin Meyer
