eclipse Qt4 plugin

Hi, on the gentoo linux distro's forum I was made aware of a possible
limitation of the eclipse qt4 plugin. I would firstly like to make you
aware of it, and hopefully find that you are already aware of it.
Currently it seems that the plugin requires the Qt Open Source package
with its predefined file layout.
For linux distro's it would be great if it was possible to independently
defined the path's too, for instance, the system qmake, libraries and
source. I have not _yet_ tried the plugin so I have no idea exactly
which information is required to be collected but would imagine that the
following would need to be configurable, qmake, library path and source
path.
