Re: QT-plugin installation failed
Message 1 in thread
Hi Christian,
I set up a virtual machine with debian 4.0 here, and still can't
reproduce your problem...
First test:
- downloaded and installed the latest debian 4.0 DVD 1, creating a
standard user to work with
- downloaded "Eclipse for C++ developers" from the eclipse.org
(eclipse-cpp-europa-linux-gtk)
- downloaded the Qt Integration RC 2
- unpacked both into my home directory
I tested creating a Qt Gui Project and opening the generated ui-file
in the visual Ui editor.
Second test:
- login as root via 'su'
- take the downloaded stuff from first test and unpack it to /usr/local
Again I tested creating a Qt Gui Project and opening the generated ui-
file in the visual Ui editor.
Both worked as expected, though Eclipse shows a warning about missing
configuration "intro element", which has nothing to do with the Qt
Integration.
If you send me your configuration details (Help -> About Eclipse SDK -
> Configuration Details),
error log (Help -> About Eclipse SDK -> Configuration Details -> View
Error Log), and
an 'ls -l' of your eclipse/plugins and eclipse/features/
com.trolltech* folders,
I can have another look on them, whether I find something new, or
have another idea (which I don't have at the moment).

Hi Christian,
though the configuration details you sent don't suggest it, the
following could help:
If you start eclipse and go to Help -> Software Updates -> Manage
Configuration,
do you find the "Qt Eclipse Integration X.X.X" (where X.X.X is the
version number) feature listed? Is it enabled or disabled (indicated
by a small reddish cross)?
