eclipse plugin won't install.
Message 1 in thread
I have been happily using an old version of the QT c++ Eclipse plugin. I
deleted that copy
to update to the latest pre-release version.
But it won't install - (using qt-eclipse-integration-win32-1.0.0-rc2.exe.)
An error message comes up saying that a previous version is still active.
This is on Windows XP. Where does the installer look for an existing copy so
I can fix this?
thanks,
Andres.

Hi,
the installer looks for a registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Qt Eclipse Integration...
(or on Windows x64)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Qt Eclipse Integration...
The uninstaller deletes that key automatically.
But if you delete the installation files manually, you can still delete that registry key with regedit.

That did it. Thanks very much. I did use the official uninstaller, but I
guess there
was a glitch - maybe due to the confused way I originally installed the
preview
because I made a mistake with which directory it belonged in.
thanks,
Andres
