Can not edit Labels

Message 1 in thread

Hello Eike,

Just loaded the RC2 QT eclipse and I have experienced an issue that I
can not edit or change the text of a qlabel on the form. I change it
using property editor and it still does not update. Click off the label
and then on the label and the information that I just entered into the
TEXT disappears. Do you know why or how I can edit the label?

Best Regards,
Steve Macumber

Hi Steve,

for me, using the property editor works fine. Inline editing doesn't,
though.
Which Linux Distribution were you using? Is that something that is
new in RC2, but worked for you in RC1 ?
Do you experience that problem for all widgets, or only for QLabels?
Does the problem occur only for specific ui-files or with all (could
you try creating a new, empy UI-file via File -> New -> Qt Designer
Form, and try it there)?

Message 3 in thread

 Hello Eike,

I am using the latest rev of Qt eclipse, that I downloaded from (
http://trolltech.com/developer/downloads/qt/eclipse-integration-download
), previously I had installed RC2...
I did not try to use RC1, there were problems with that version when I
loaded that.

I am using the new RedHat 5, eclipse 3.2.2 and CDT 3.1.2....

I tried what you mentioned and this does not work in a new form for
either a widget or a main window form.
The only way that I can change the text of the label is to right click
and choose rich text and then change the label. If I try to change via
the property Editor it will not change.

Eike,
I un-installed the QT-Eclipse and reinstalled it(the latest) as
indicated in the instructions and label text edit seemed to work this
time...

Message 5 in thread

Eike,

For some reason it stopped working again. I'm also having issues with
the other items that I need to modify, such as the button box...It seems
like some type of lock is set to not allow the form items to be changed.
You can add items to the form but you can not change the item (neither
the previous or the new items).
