First, be sure that you downloaded and installed the gcc3.3 version
of the Qt Eclipse Integration.

If you did that and still have the problem, could you please download
and install a Java 1.4 Runtime Environment and start Eclipse with it
(open a terminal, and run
eclipse -vm <yourPathToJava1.4>/bin/java
?
If Java1.4 reveals the same problem, it should at least print a more
helpful error message (the one above doesn't make any sense, that's a
known problem of newer Java1.5 runtimes).
