Qt eclipse integration: extremely slow designer / project editor

Message 1 in thread

While the "gnome display bug" was fixed with the last release of the
eclipse integration, I still encounter the following behaviour:

After working some time with one of the graphical editors (project
editor or designer) the "response time" goes down extremely. After a
mouse click, I have to wait several seconds till the editor reacts.
This does not hold for the text-based editors, they still work as
usual.
After a restart of eclipse, also the graphical editors are responsive again.

Any guesses why they behave like that?

Regards, Niko

Hi Niko,
thanks for the report, I'll have a look.

Is the "some time" more in the range of minutes, hours or days? Do
you open/close these editors a lot?

my feeling would be something between minutes and hours but I started
a test today with a project editor open in the background while I was
working with normal editors and after 1.5 h I checked an it was
already in "slow motion".

Not very often I would say. In my test-case mentioned above, the
editor was just oben in the background.
