I hope someone will find a solution for this bug, because, at the moment, it
prevents the migration of my project to Qt 4.4.0.

This is already fixed in the current 4.4 snapshots.

Hi,
this morning I downloaded the current snapshot
(qt-win-opensource-src-4.4.0-snapshot-20080306.zip), I built it, and I can
confirm that the bug is now fixed.
Thank you very much for the good job: I think that it's time to move my
project to Qt 4.4.0!
