Question on color depths an qwidgets

Message 1 in thread

Hi List!

I have a question regarding the handling of pixel-depths in widgets. We
are working on an application qhich uses qtopia on two embedded systems.
One is an ARM-based board, the other one is MIPS-based. What we are
thinking about is the following:
Both boards are capable of 8 and 16 bpp color depth. The thing is, that we
want to use only 8bpp and try to switch for example the background color,
using different parts by manipulating the color palette. So is this
possible using Qtopia and if so, where to start from?

Thanks in advance,
Andy

If you only want to use Qtopia in 8bit color mode, simply configure
Qt/Embedded for Qtopia 2, or Qtopia 4 with -depths 8
Is this what you want?
